Intel® MAX® 10 FPGAs are fabricated with TSMC's 55nm embedded NOR flash technology and support instant-on capability. Its integrated features include analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) and dual-configuration flash memory, allowing you to store two images on a single chip and dynamically switch between images. Unlike CPLDs, Intel® MAX® 10 FPGAs also include full-featured FPGA features such as Nios® II soft embedded processor support, digital signal processing (DSP) blocks, and soft DDR3 memory controllers.
Intel® MAX® 10 FPGAs provide advanced processing capabilities in low-cost instant-on small form factor programmable logic devices that revolutionize nonvolatile integration. They offer instant-on dual configurations supporting analog-to-digital converters (ADCs), and full-featured FPGA functionality optimized for a variety of cost-sensitive, high-volume applications, including industrial, automotive, and communications.
Intel® MAX® 10 FPGAs reduce system-level cost by increasing the level of integration of system component functions:
Dual configuration flash: Supports dual configuration on the same die flash with thousands of reprogrammable cycles for true failsafe updates.
Analog block: The analog block with integrated ADC and temperature sensor provides lower latency through more flexible sample ordering and reduces board area.
Instant turn-on: The Intel® MAX® 10 FPGA may be the first device on a system board that can be used to control the start-up of other components (high-density FPGAs, ASICs, ASSPs, processors, etc.).
Nios® II Soft Embedded Processor: Intel® MAX® 10 FPGA supports the integration of the soft Nios II embedded processor, providing embedded developers with a single-chip, fully configurable, instant-on processor subsystem .
DSP block: As the first non-volatile FPGA with DSP, the Intel® MAX® 10 FPGA is ideal for high-performance, high-precision applications with integrated 18x18 multipliers.
DDR3 External Memory Interface: Intel® MAX® 10 FPGAs support DDR3 SDRAM and LPDDR2 interfaces through a soft intellectual property (IP) memory controller, ideal for video, datapath, and embedded applications.
Complex control management: realize software-controlled system management through Nios II soft-core embedded processor.
Single core voltage support: single power supply products required for power-on sequence management
The AP8000 universal writer independently developed by Angke Technology includes three parts: the host, the bottom plate, and the adapter seat.
The host supports USB and NET connections, allowing multiple programmers to be networked to achieve the purpose of simultaneously controlling multiple programmers and burning at the same time. The built-in chip safety protection circuit ensures that even if the chip is reversed or short-circuited due to other reasons, it can be detected immediately and power off to ensure the safety of the chip and the programmer. Embedded high-speed FPGA greatly accelerates data transmission and processing. There is an SD card slot on the back of the host. Put the project file created by the PC software in the root directory of the SD card and insert it into the card slot. Through the buttons on the programmer, the project file can be selected, loaded, and burned, etc. Command, in order to achieve the purpose of being able to operate without the PC, which greatly reduces the cost of PC hardware configuration, and is convenient and quick to match the working environment.
AP8000 makes the host more expandable by adding an adapter board to the base plate. At present, it has supported devices produced by all mainstream semiconductor manufacturers, including TI, ST, MicroChip, Atmel, Hynix, Macronix, Micron, Samsung, Toshiba, etc. The supported device types are NAND, NOR, MCU, CPLD, FPGA, EMMC, etc., and file formats including Intel Hex, Motorola S, Binary, POF, etc. are supported.
