The analog front-end circuit in this controller includes an 8-bit resistance ladder, a rail-to-rail operational amplifier (OPA), and a rail-to-rail input comparator (CMP). Among them, the 8-bit digital-to-analog converter guarantees monotonicity. It is a ladder-shaped digital resistor, and each least significant bit (LSB) is close to 730 ohms. The resistor has a low temperature coefficient. Rail-to-rail op amps have an input network and can be used in differential analog circuit configurations such as integrators, current-to-voltage converters, programmable-gain amplifiers, and step-by-step analog-to-digital converters. The rail-to-rail input comparator monitors the continuity of the analog signal with very low power consumption. It can be used as a supply voltage monitor, an external wake-up trigger source, or a capacitive touch key driver.
An ultra-low noise 24-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC) is embedded. The maximum output rate is 10.24KSPS with 21-bit effective number of bits (ENOB, Effective Number OF Bit), and the minimum analytic input signal is 65nV RMS Noise (Root-Mean-Square). This low-noise amplifier with programmable gain (PGA) is used with an analog-to-digital converter with a maximum gain of 128x magnification. Power management provides an optional analog circuit to regulate the voltage, which can be used as a voltage reference source and sensor power drive.
