Acroview, the leader in chip programming, has announced further expansion of its compatible chip model coverage with the release of a new version of its programming software. The company's core product, the universal programming platform AP8000, now fully supports Macronix's 32Mb serial NOR flash memory MX25L3233FM1.
The MX25L3233FM1 is a 32Mb serial NOR flash memory with an internal memory configuration of 4,194,304 × 8 bits. In quad I/O mode, the memory organization changes to 8,388,608 × 4 bits; in dual I/O mode, it changes to 16,777,216 × 2 bits.
The MX25L3233FM1 features a serial peripheral interface (SPI) and associated software protocol. In single I/O mode, communication can be achieved via a simple three-wire bus consisting of a clock input (SCLK), serial data input (SI), and serial data output (SO). The chip select pin (CS#) is used to enable serial communication access to the device.
The MX25L3233FM1 belongs to the MXSMIO® (serial multi-I/O) flash product family and supports full-chip continuous read and multi-I/O parallel transmission. In quad I/O mode, the SI, SO, WP#, and HOLD# pins are repurposed as SIO0, SIO1, SIO2, and SIO3 for address input, dummy clock cycle input, and bidirectional data transfer. After a program/erase command is issued, the chip automatically executes built-in programming, erase, and verification algorithms to complete writing and erase verification for specified pages, sectors, or blocks. Programming supports single-byte or 256-byte page writes. Erase operations support 4KB sector erase, 32KB/64KB block erase, and full-chip bulk erase. The chip has a built-in status register to simplify host development and provide real-time feedback on chip status. By reading the WIP (write in progress) flag in the status register, the completion of program/erase operations can be determined. When no operation is performed and CS# is high, the chip automatically enters standby mode to reduce power consumption.
The MX25L3233FM1 uses Macronix's proprietary memory cell technology, with each cell capable of withstanding 100,000 program/erase cycles and providing long-term reliable data retention.

Acroview's self-developed AP8000 universal programmer has become a benchmark professional programming solution in the industry. The device supports flexible one-to-one and one-to-eight configuration modes and offers both online and offline operation. It features specialized programming solutions for eMMC, UFS, and other memory chips, fully covering bare-chip offline programming and on-board programming for all Macronix chip series. The AP8000 adopts an innovative modular design consisting of the main unit, baseboard, and adapter, providing excellent compatibility and expandability. As a universal programming platform, it not only adapts to various programmable chips on the market but also serves as the core component of Acroview's automated batch programming system IPS5800S with stable and efficient performance, handling large-scale chip programming tasks to meet mass production needs.

The AP8000 main unit offers flexible connectivity with both USB and NET interfaces, enabling convenient networking of multiple programmers. Through networking, users can easily achieve synchronized control of multiple programmers for efficient parallel programming. In terms of safety, the main unit features intelligent safety protection circuits that monitor chip placement and connection status in real time. If anomalies such as reverse insertion or short circuits are detected, the unit immediately triggers a power-off protection mechanism to ensure the safe operation of both the chip and the programmer. The main unit houses a high-speed FPGA chip, greatly improving data transmission and processing efficiency for a smooth and efficient programming process. For enhanced convenience, an SD card slot is provided on the back of the main unit. Users can save engineering files generated on a PC to an SD card, insert it into the slot, and then use the programmer's physical buttons to select, load, and program files, enabling standalone operation without a PC. This design reduces dependence on computer hardware, simplifies environment setup, and significantly improves operational flexibility.
In terms of expandability and compatibility, the AP8000 uses a modular design with baseboard and adapter boards, effectively extending the host's capabilities. The device currently supports products from major semiconductor manufacturers, including SK hynix, Micron, SANDISK, ASR, Kingston, and other well-known brands. It supports a wide range of device types, including NAND, NOR, MCU, CPLD, FPGA, eMMC, etc., and is fully compatible with various industry-standard file formats such as Intel Hex, Motorola S, Binary, and POF, providing users with a one-stop, full-scenario chip programming solution.
