The leader in the chip programming industry-ACROVIEW Technology has recently released the latest programming software update and the list of newly supported chip models. Among them, ISSI's IS25WP080D series FLASH memory IS25WP080D-JN has been programmed by Oncor's universal programming platform AP8000 supported.


The IS25WP080D/040D/020D serial flash memory provides a versatile storage solution with the flexibility and performance of a high simplified pin count package. ISSI's "Industry Standard Serial Interface" flash memory is used in systems that require limited space, low pin count, and low power consumption. The device is enabled by accessing a 4-wire SP interface (CE#) pin consisting of Serial Data In (SI), Serial Data Out (SO), Serial Clock (SCK) and the chip, or it can be configured as Multiple I/O.


The device supports dual and quad I/O as well as standard, dual output, and quad output SPI. Clock frequencies up to 133MHz allow an equivalent clock rate of up to 532MHz (133MHz x 4), equivalent to 66Mbytes/s data throughput. The IS25xP series flash memory adds support for DTR (Double Transfer Rate) commands to address and read data on both edges of the clock. These transfer rates can outperform 16-bit parallel flash memory allowing efficient memory access to support XIP (execute-in-place) operations.


The memory array is organized into programmable pages of 256 bytes. This series supports page programming mode where 1 to 256 bytes of data are programmed in a single command.

QPI (Quad Peripheral Interface) supports 2-loop instructions to further reduce the number of instructions. Page blocks, 64KB blocks, and/or the entire chip can be erased in groups of 4Kbyte sectors, 32Kbytes. The unified sector and block architecture allows a high degree of flexibility, so the device can be used for a variety of applications that require reliable data retention.

The host supports USB and NET connections, allowing multiple programmers to be networked to achieve the purpose of simultaneously controlling multiple programmers and burning at the same time. The built-in chip safety protection circuit ensures that even if the chip is reversed or a short circuit caused by other reasons can be detected immediately and power-off processing is performed to ensure the safety of the chip and the programmer. Embedded high-speed FPGA greatly accelerates data transmission and processing. There is an SD card slot on the back of the host. Put the project file created by the PC software in the root directory of the SD card and insert it into the card slot. Through the buttons on the programmer, the project file can be selected, loaded, and burned, etc. Command, in order to achieve the purpose of being able to operate without the PC, which greatly reduces the cost of PC hardware configuration, and is convenient and quick to match the working environment.


AP8000 makes the host more expandable by adding an adapter board to the base plate. At present, it has supported devices produced by all mainstream semiconductor manufacturers, including TI, ST, MicroChip, Atmel, Hynix, Macronix, Micron, Samsung, Toshiba, etc. The supported device types are NAND, NOR, MCU, CPLD, FPGA, EMMC, etc., and file formats including Intel Hex, Motorola S, Binary, POF, etc. are supported.
