Chip programming industry leader-Oncor Technology has recently released the latest programming software update and a list of newly supported chip models. Among them, TI's TMS320F28004x series 32-bit floating-point microcontroller TMS320F280040CPMQR has been programmed by Oncor's general-purpose programming. Supported by the recording platform AP8000.
Optimized for processing, sensing and actuation, C2000™ 32-bit microcontrollers are designed to enhance real-time control applications such as industrial motor drives, photovoltaic inverters and digital power, electric vehicles and transportation, motor control, and sensing and signal processing closed-loop performance.
Oncor's AP8000 is specially designed for the programming requirements of the C2000 series, and has been enhanced in programming stability and chip ESD protection. It is the best mass-produced programming device for the C2000 series DSP. Oncor is also an official TI Recommended third-party burning partners.
The TMS320F28004x (F28004x) is a powerful 32-bit floating-point microcontroller unit (MCU) that allows designers to integrate key control peripherals, differential analog and nonvolatile memory on a single device.
The real-time control subsystem is based on TI's 32-bit C28x CPU, which provides 100MHz of signal processing performance. The performance of the C28x CPU has been further improved with the new TMU extended instruction set and VCU-I extended instruction set, which can quickly execute algorithms including common trigonometric operations in transform and torque loop calculations, and the VCU-I extended instruction set. Reduces latency for complex mathematical operations commonly found in coding applications.
The CLA allows a large number of common tasks to be offloaded from the C28x CPU. CLA is a standalone 32-bit floating-point math accelerator that executes in parallel with the CPU. In addition, the CLA has its own dedicated memory resources that provide direct access to the major peripherals required in a typical control system. As with major features such as hardware breakpoints and hardware task switching, ANSI C subset support is standard.
The F28004x supports up to 256KB (128KW) of flash memory divided into two 128KB (64KW) banks for parallel programming and execution. In addition, up to 100KB (50KW) of on-chip SRAM is provided in 4KB (2KW) and 16KB (8KW) blocks for efficient system partitioning. Flash ECC, SRAM ECC/parity, and dual-area security are also supported.
High-performance analog blocks are integrated on the F28004x MCU to further support system integration. Three independent 12-bit ADCs accurately and efficiently manage multiple analog signals, ultimately increasing system throughput. Seven PGAs on the analog front end enable on-chip voltage regulation prior to conversion. Seven analog comparator modules provide continuous monitoring of input voltage levels for trip conditions.
The TMS320C2000™ microcontroller contains advanced control peripherals (with frequency independent ePWM/HRPWM and eCAP) for excellent control of the system. The built-in 4-channel SDFM allows seamless integration of oversampling sigma-delta modulators on the isolation barrier.
The latest addition to Texas Instruments' C2000™ Piccolo™ Microcontroller (MCU) portfolio. The new C2000 F28004x MCU family is optimized for power control in cost-sensitive applications such as EV on-board chargers, motor control inverters, and industrial power supplies, delivering superior performance. The C2000 Piccolo MCU portfolio further improves the performance of the 100-MHz central processing unit (CPU) by adding this new real-time control unit with an integrated floating-point unit, math accelerator and optional parallel processor, setting a new industry standard .
Developers can take advantage of the industry-leading C2000 Piccolo F28004x MCUs with integrated analog functions to reduce bill-of-material costs while building smaller, more reliable systems that provide system protection and new features for high-performance power control systems. The integrated analog functions include three independent 12-bit analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) with post-processing hardware, advanced synchronization, and programmable gain amplifiers, as well as a precision comparator and digital-to-analog converter subsystem and a sigma- delta filter interface.

Overall block diagram
The AP8000 universal writer independently developed by Angke Technology includes three parts: the host, the bottom plate, and the adapter seat.
The host supports USB and NET connections, allowing multiple programmers to be networked to achieve the purpose of simultaneously controlling multiple programmers and burning at the same time. The built-in chip safety protection circuit ensures that even if the chip is reversed or short-circuited due to other reasons, it can be detected immediately and power off to ensure the safety of the chip and the programmer. Embedded high-speed FPGA greatly accelerates data transmission and processing. There is an SD card slot on the back of the host. Put the project file created by the PC software in the root directory of the SD card and insert it into the card slot. Through the buttons on the programmer, the project file can be selected, loaded, and burned, etc. Command, in order to achieve the purpose of being able to operate without the PC, which greatly reduces the cost of PC hardware configuration, and is convenient and quick to match the working environment.
AP8000 makes the host more expandable by adding an adapter board to the base plate.
