The leader in the chip programming industry-ACROVIEW Technology recently released the latest programming software update and the list of newly supported chip models. The programming of TDK-Micronas' embedded controller HVC4223F has been programmed by ACROVIEW's universal programming platform AP8000 supported.
The HVC4223F still shows a high level of integration, including all stepper modules that directly drive PMSM/BLDC motors and bipolar motors, and the programming capabilities of peripheral modules and user-defined software are also optimized to suit the properties of various drive systems. The high integration density of electronic devices requires adaptation to thermal operating conditions through target-specified power management. This new HVC series offers many features that precisely match this adaptation.
EPWM-Module (Enhanced Pulse Width Modulation) supports passive and active free-spinning current modes (asynchronous/synchronous rectification) for different operating modes and different types of motors, integrated current measurement and D/A converter allow programming of nominal current values (e.g. microstepping current control). The output stage includes overload protection (overvoltage/overcurrent) and diagnostic functions. All integrated peripheral modules, EPWM, D/A converter and temperature monitoring can be programmed according to the operating mode.
The HVC4223F features a start-stop system that supports a special "hold mode" that integrates switching regulators (buck converters) to minimize power losses compared to traditional linear regulators. How to reduce power loss has always been a difficult point to improve the efficiency of motor control, and the answer given by this new series is very competitive.
Integrated N-channel MOSFET half-bridge with charge pump, comparator with integrated virtual star point and current reference, 16-bit free-running counter with three capture/compare modules, enhanced PWM, and direct connection of device to automotive board network The voltage regulator greatly reduces current consumption under various power management mode optimizations, ensuring leading low power consumption.
The HVC4223F is packaged in a 40-pin QFN package with a size of only 6mm x 6mm. Although it is a small product, it has many functions. For example, comparator with Virtual Star Point Reference function, self-diagnosis function, protection function, programmable gain amplifier, A-D converter, voltage regulator with 40V load dump support, 6 Group half bridge, etc. Therefore, the number of external parts can be minimized.
In addition, this product can directly drive the motor without connecting a MOSFET externally. Can be powered from a 12V supply without an external voltage regulator. Built-in LIN transceiver for direct connection to the LIN bus. Furthermore, the Cortex-M3 core can also use complex motor commutation methods to optimize motor size and torque.

Overall block diagram
The AP8000 Universal Programmer independently developed by ACROVIEW Technology includes three parts: the host, the bottom plate, and the adapter seat.
The host supports USB and NET connections, allowing multiple programmers to be networked to achieve the purpose of simultaneously controlling multiple programmers and burning at the same time. The built-in chip safety protection circuit ensures that even if the chip is reversed or a short circuit caused by other reasons can be detected immediately and power-off processing is performed to ensure the safety of the chip and the programmer. Embedded high-speed FPGA greatly accelerates data transmission and processing. There is an SD card slot on the back of the host. Put the project file created by the PC software in the root directory of the SD card and insert it into the card slot. Through the buttons on the programmer, the project file can be selected, loaded, and burned, etc. Command, in order to achieve the purpose of being able to operate without the PC, which greatly reduces the cost of PC hardware configuration, and is convenient and quick to match the working environment.
