The leader in the chip programming industry - Angke Technology recently released the latest programming software update and a list of newly supported chip models. Among them, Angke Technology released a software update to support the low-power Bluetooth module ESP32-WROOM32E of Espressif Technology. Supported by Angke's general programming platform AP8000.

ESP32-WROOM-32E general-purpose Wi-Fi + Bluetooth + Bluetooth LE MCU module, powerful and versatile, can be used for low-power sensor networks and demanding tasks, such as speech encoding, audio streaming and MP3 decoding, etc. .


The ESP32-WROOM-32E uses a connector to connect to an external antenna.


The chip used by ESP32-WROOM-32E is ESP32-D0WD-V3 or ESP32-D0WDR2-V3* of ESP32 series. ESP32-D0WD-V3 and ESP32-D0WDR2-V3 chips are scalable and self-adaptive. Two CPU cores can be controlled independently. The adjustment range of CPU clock frequency is 80MHz to 240MHz. Users can turn off the power of the CPU, and use the low-power coprocessor to monitor the status changes of the peripherals or whether some analog quantities exceed the threshold. ESP32 also integrates a wealth of peripherals, including capacitive touch sensors, SD card interface, Ethernet interface, high-speed SPI, UART, I2S and I2C, etc.


The module integrates traditional Bluetooth, Bluetooth Low Energy and Wi-Fi, and has a wide range of uses: Wi-Fi supports a wide range of communication connections, and also supports direct connection to the Internet through routers; and Bluetooth allows users to connect to mobile phones or broadcast BLE Beacon for signal detection. The sleep current of the ESP32 chip is less than 5 µA, making it suitable for battery-powered wearable electronics. The data transmission rate supported by the module is as high as 150Mbps, and the output power of the antenna reaches 20dBm, which can realize the wireless communication in the largest range. Therefore, this module has industry-leading technical specifications and excellent performance in terms of high integration, wireless transmission distance, power consumption, and network connectivity.


The operating system of ESP32 is freeRTOS with LwIP, also built-in TLS 1.2 with hardware acceleration. The chip also supports OTA encryption upgrade, which is convenient for users to continue to upgrade after the product is released.

The built-in chip safety protection circuit ensures that even if the chip is reversed or a short circuit caused by other reasons can be detected immediately and the power will be cut off to ensure the safety of the chip and programmer. Embedded high-speed FPGA greatly accelerates data transmission and processing. There is an SD card slot on the back of the main unit. Put the project file produced by the PC software into the root directory of the SD card and insert it into the card slot. The project file can be selected, loaded, and programmed through the buttons on the programmer. command, in order to achieve the purpose of operating without PC, which greatly reduces the cost of PC hardware configuration, and can be conveniently and quickly matched with the working environment.


AP8000 makes the mainframe more expandable by adding an adapter board to the backplane. Currently, it supports devices produced by all mainstream semiconductor manufacturers, including TI, ST, MicroChip, Atmel, Hynix, Macronix, Micron, Samsung, Toshiba, etc. Supported device types include NAND, NOR, MCU, CPLD, FPGA, EMMC, etc., and support file formats including Intel Hex, Motorola S, Binary, POF, etc.
