Acroview, a leader in chip programming, has officially announced the expansion of its supported device portfolio with the release of its latest programming software. The company’s flagship product – the universal programming platform AP8000 – now fully supports MPS’s synchronous buck-boost DC-DC converter MPQ8875AGVE-0000-AEC1.
The MPQ8875AGVE-0000-AEC1 is a 36V monolithic synchronous buck-boost DC-DC converter that supports a wide input voltage range from 2.2V to 36V, making it ideal for versatile automotive and industrial applications. It employs a proprietary constant-on-time (COT) control mode and a fully integrated 4-switch configuration, allowing the converter to flexibly change its topology among buck, boost, and buck-boost modes. This optimizes performance and efficiency when the input voltage is above, below, or equal to the output voltage, while ensuring seamless transitions between adjacent operating ranges.
The MPQ8875AGVE-0000-AEC1 is controlled individually via a standard I²C interface; various parameters can be adjusted by writing settings to the device without any hardware changes. The switching frequency can be configured from 200kHz to 1MHz, or synchronized to any frequency between 250kHz and 1MHz via an external clock signal. Additionally, the configurable spread spectrum feature can periodically modulate the switching frequency to improve EMI performance. Robust fault protections include input under‑voltage lockout (UVLO), input over‑voltage protection (OVP), cycle‑by‑cycle peak current limiting, output over‑voltage protection (OVP), output short‑circuit protection (SCP), and thermal shutdown protection. A built‑in power‑good indicator signals whether the output voltage regulation is correct.
The MPQ8875AGVE-0000-AEC1 is offered in a thermally enhanced QFN‑34 (4x5mm) package.

In terms of safety, the mainframe incorporates an intelligent safety protection circuit that continuously monitors chip placement and connection status. Upon detecting abnormalities such as reverse insertion or short circuits, it immediately triggers a power‑cut protection mechanism, safeguarding both the chip and the programmer. The mainframe is equipped with a high‑speed FPGA chip, significantly enhancing data transfer and processing efficiency to ensure smooth and efficient programming. For enhanced convenience, an SD card slot is provided on the rear panel. Users can store project files generated on a PC to an SD card, insert it into the slot, and then use the physical buttons on the programmer to select, load, and execute programming operations – enabling standalone operation without a PC. This design not only reduces dependency on computer hardware but also simplifies workspace setup, greatly improving operational flexibility.
