Acroview, a leader in chip programming, has officially announced an expansion of its compatible device coverage with the release of its latest programming software. The company’s core product, the universal programming platform AP8000, now fully supports SouthChip’s fast charging protocol controller SC2006A.
The SC2006A is a fast charging controller that supports three Type-C DRP ports. It supports all mainstream fast charging protocols and features CC and DPDM interfaces. Target applications include multi-port power banks, car chargers, and power tools.
By integrating Type-C/PD circuitry, DPDM/UFCS and other fast charging protocol circuits, along with VBUS discharge paths, voltage and current sensing, an 11‑bit high‑performance ADC, two 11‑bit DACs, NMOS gate drivers, an I²C interface, and protection circuits, the SC2006A minimizes external components. It incorporates a 32‑bit high‑performance microcontroller with 128KB of flash and 8KB of SRAM, providing a cost‑effective solution for a wide range of applications.
The SC2006A supports multiple protection mechanisms, including over‑voltage protection (OVP), under‑voltage protection (UVP), over‑current protection (OCP), short‑circuit protection (SCP), over‑temperature protection (OTP), DPDM over‑voltage protection, CC over‑voltage protection, and VCONN over‑voltage/over‑current/short‑circuit protection, ensuring stable and reliable system operation.

Typical Application Diagram
The AP8000 universal programmer, independently developed by Acroview, has become a benchmark professional programming solution in the industry. It supports flexible 1‑to‑1 and 1‑to‑8 configuration modes, offers both online and offline operation, and provides dedicated programming solutions for memory chips such as eMMC and UFS. It fully covers the offline bare‑chip programming and on‑board programming needs of SouthChip’s entire device portfolio. The AP8000 adopts an innovative modular design comprising three core modules—main unit, baseboard, and adapter socket—giving it outstanding compatibility and expandability. As a universal programming platform, it not only adapts to various programmable chips on the market but also delivers stable and high‑efficiency performance, serving as the core component of Acroview’s automated batch programming system IPS5800S, which efficiently handles large‑scale chip programming tasks to meet mass production requirements.

The AP8000 main unit offers flexible connectivity with both USB and NET interfaces, enabling convenient networking of multiple programmers. Through the networking function, users can easily achieve synchronous control of multiple programmers for efficient parallel programming. In terms of safety, the main unit incorporates intelligent safety protection circuitry that monitors chip placement and connection status in real time. If abnormalities such as reverse insertion or short circuits are detected, it immediately triggers a power‑off protection mechanism, ensuring the safety of both the chip and the programmer. The main unit is equipped with a high‑speed FPGA chip that significantly improves data transfer and processing efficiency, ensuring smooth and efficient programming. For enhanced convenience, an SD card slot is provided on the rear panel. Users can save project files generated on a PC to an SD card, insert it into the slot, and then complete file selection, loading, and programming via the physical buttons on the programmer, enabling standalone operation without a PC. This design not only reduces dependence on computer hardware but also simplifies the working environment setup, greatly improving operational flexibility.
In terms of expandability and compatibility, the AP8000 adopts a modular combination of baseboard and adapter boards, effectively extending the main unit’s functionality. The device currently supports products from all major semiconductor manufacturers, including SK hynix, Micron, SANDISK, ASR, and Kingston. Its supported device types are extensive, covering NAND, NOR, MCU, CPLD, FPGA, eMMC, and more, and it is fully compatible with various industry‑standard file formats such as Intel Hex, Motorola S, Binary, and POF, providing users with a one‑stop, full‑scenario chip programming solution.
