Acroview, a leader in chip programming, has officially announced the further expansion of its supported device coverage with the release of its latest programming software. The company’s flagship product, the universal programming platform AP8000, has now achieved full compatibility with Airoha Technology’s Bluetooth audio chip AB1585M.

The AB1585M is a low-power Bluetooth audio chipset certified for Bluetooth Low Energy Audio. It integrates an application processor, a digital signal processor (DSP), a Bluetooth transceiver, and a power management unit (PMU).

The AB1585M is equipped with an ARM Cortex-M33F application processor with an operating frequency range of 1MHz to 260MHz. Its DSP subsystem is based on the Cadence HiFi5 audio engine DSP, with an operating frequency flexibly adjustable from 26MHz to 520MHz, delivering excellent audio performance while maintaining power efficiency. The chip also integrates an audio codec, hybrid active noise cancellation (ANC), next-generation echo cancellation, and AI noise reduction algorithms to enhance voice call quality for headphone products.

The AB1585M supports both Airoha’s Multicast Synchronization (MCSync) technology and Bluetooth Low Energy Audio (LE Audio), enabling seamless switching between left and right earbuds and providing a low-latency, well-balanced audio experience.

Acroview’s self-developed AP8000 universal programmer has become a benchmark professional programming solution in the industry. The device supports flexible one-to-one and one-to-eight configuration modes, and offers both online and offline operating modes. It also features dedicated programming solutions for memory chips such as eMMC and UFS, and can fully cover the bare-chip offline programming and on-board programming needs of Airoha’s entire chip series. The AP8000 adopts an innovative modular design with three core modules – main unit, baseboard, and adapter – giving the device outstanding compatibility and expandability. As a universal programming platform, it not only adapts to various programmable chips on the market but also serves as a core component of Acroview’s automated batch programming system IPS5800S with stable and high-performance capabilities, efficiently handling large-scale chip programming tasks to meet mass production requirements.

The AP8000 main unit offers flexible connectivity options, equipped with both USB and NET interfaces for convenient networking of multiple programmers. Through networking, users can easily achieve synchronized control of multiple programmers for efficient parallel programming operations. In terms of safety, the main unit incorporates an intelligent safety protection circuit that monitors chip placement status and circuit connections in real time. Once abnormalities such as reverse insertion or short circuits are detected, it immediately triggers a power-off protection mechanism, safeguarding both the chip and the programmer. The main unit is equipped with a high-speed FPGA chip that significantly improves data transmission and processing efficiency, ensuring a smooth and efficient programming process. For added convenience, an SD card slot is provided on the back of the main unit. Users can store project files generated on a PC to an SD card, insert it into the slot, and then use the physical buttons on the programmer to select, load, and execute programming operations, enabling standalone operation without a PC. This design not only reduces dependency on computer hardware but also simplifies workspace setup and greatly enhances operational flexibility.

In terms of expandability and compatibility, the AP8000 features a modular baseboard and adapter board design, effectively extending the main unit’s functionality. Currently, the device supports products from major semiconductor manufacturers, including SK hynix, Micron, SANDISK, ASR, Kingston, and many other well-known brands. It supports a wide range of device types, including NAND, NOR, MCU, CPLD, FPGA, EMMC, and more, and is fully compatible with industry-standard file formats such as Intel Hex, Motorola S, Binary, and POF, providing users with a one-stop, full-scenario chip programming solution.
