Acroview Programmer Supports RICHTEK LED Driver RT4540GQW

Leading chip programming company Acroview Technology announced the release of a new version of its programming software and the further expansion of its compatible chip model portfolio. The company's core product—the universal programming platform AP8000—has now achieved full compatibility with RICHTEK's LED driver RT4540GQW.

The RT4540GQW is a high-efficiency white LED driver suitable for single-cell/two-cell battery input, capable of driving LED strips composed of six parallel strings. It features a built-in constant-current driver chip with a maximum channel-to-channel current matching error of only ±2%, ensuring highly uniform brightness across each LED string. To maintain the necessary voltage headroom for stable operation of the constant-current driver, the boost controller continuously monitors the minimum voltage at the feedback pin and adjusts the output voltage for optimal efficiency.

The RT4540GQW integrates an I²C interface for configuring dimming modes, operating frequency, and LED drive current. It includes a built-in 250mΩ, 36V-rated power switch and employs a current-mode control architecture with overcurrent protection.

The switching frequency of the RT4540GQW can be flexibly adjusted from 100kHz to 1.6MHz, balancing efficiency with the need for miniaturized external components. The device is offered in a compact 3×3mm WQFN-24L package with a 0.4mm pin pitch.

The AP8000 Main Unit offers flexible connectivity options, featuring both USB and NET interfaces for convenient networking of multiple programmers. The networking function allows users to easily achieve synchronized control of multiple units, enabling efficient parallel programming operations. In terms of safety, the main unit incorporates an intelligent protection circuit that monitors chip placement status and circuit connections in real-time. Upon detecting anomalies such as reversed chip insertion or short circuits, it immediately triggers a power-off protection mechanism, comprehensively safeguarding both the chip and the programmer. The main unit is equipped with a high-speed FPGA chip, significantly enhancing data transfer and processing efficiency to ensure a smooth and fast programming process. To improve user convenience, an SD card slot is located on the back of the main unit. Users can simply save project files generated on a PC to an SD card, insert it into the slot, and then use the physical buttons on the programmer to select, load, and execute programming tasks, enabling standalone operation without a PC. This design not only reduces dependency on computer hardware but also simplifies the setup process, significantly enhancing operational flexibility.

In terms of expandability and compatibility, the AP8000 adopts a modular combination design of baseboard and adapter boards, effectively extending the functional boundaries of the main unit. Currently, the device supports products from all major semiconductor manufacturers, covering well-known brands such as SK hynix, Micron, SANDISK, ASR, and Kingston. It supports a wide range of device types, including NAND, NOR, MCU, CPLD, FPGA, eMMC, etc., and is fully compatible with various industry-standard file formats like Intel Hex, Motorola S, Binary, and POF, providing users with a one-stop, full-scenario chip programming solution.
